GMWDA transfers into the GMCA

From 1st April 2018, the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority transferred all its duties, obligations and statutory powers for waste disposal to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. The move is part of the 2014 ground-breaking devolution agreement.

Pay Policy

The Localism Act 2011 requires that all local authorities increase the amount of financial information available to the public to ensure strong financial accountability.

Although the GMWDA is not bound by the Localism Act, it has agreed to voluntarily comply with the requirements set out with the Act. The Authority’s Voluntary Pay Policy Statement is listed below along with the Authority Pay Policy Table and posts with salaries of over £58,200.
